The School Psychologists
The Speech Language Pathologists

Sister companies TSP and TSLP needed branding that was distinct, but showed they were connected

Branding, Web Design, Graphic Design

The client initially approached me to create a comprehensive branding package for The School Psychologists, a company dedicated to pairing schools with certified, remote psychologists. This unique service bridges the gap between schools and mental health professionals, ensuring children receive the support they need. The logo design is deeply rooted in psychology, drawing inspiration from the functions of the right and left sides of the brain. The right side of the logo represents rigidity and logic, while the left reflects creativity and fluidity, creating a harmonious balance.

The soothing, muted color palette was chosen to stand apart from the typically brash and overly bright colors seen in kid-focused branding. This thoughtful choice gives the brand a calm, professional, and approachable feel while remaining kid-friendly and welcoming. The result is a visual identity that embodies trust, care, and creativity—perfectly aligned with the company’s mission to support schools and their students.

Later, the client returned for branding for their sister company, The Speech Language Pathologists, which focuses on connecting schools with certified speech-language pathologists. To maintain visual consistency between the two brands, I retained the diamond shield shape from The School Psychologists’ logo but updated the internal design. The lines within the logo were reimagined to mimic sound waves, subtly reflecting the focus on speech and communication. Additionally, I adjusted the color palette to ensure it was distinct yet still related to The School Psychologists, creating a cohesive yet differentiated identity for the sister company.

This collaborative branding process resulted in two connected yet unique visual identities that effectively represent both companies' missions. Together, these brands stand out as professional, approachable, and tailored to meet the needs of schools and students alike.
